Summer Cartography – Collective exhibition
Luca Fortin, Florence Leblanc, Tanya Morand and Giorgia Volpe
June 16 to 19, 2022 – Belgo, Espace 442
Quebec City, June 16, 2022 – For Gallery Weekend Montreal organized by the AGAC, Galerie.a is pleased to present a selection highlighting the artwork of 4 Quebec City artists. The collective exhibition Summer Cartography will be presented from June 16th to June 19th at the Gallery POPOP in the Belgo building at 372 Sainte-Catherine St. West, locale 442.
Inspired by the artist Tanya Morand’s recent work, the theme of this exhibition explores summer wandering and search for adventure. At the same time, Summer Cartography awakens our desire to revisit pleasant memories or childhood reminiscences. Without being explicit, each piece, in its own way, could remind us of a trip to the beach, travels in Europe or a regional road trip.
Special Collaboration with Giorgia Volpe
Galerie.a is honoured to present the work of the artist Giorgia Volpe. In the context of this special collaboration, the exhibition “Summer Cartography” presents 8 of the artist’s photographs.
Visit with the artist Tanya Morand
For Gallery Weekend, Galerie.a invites the public to meet with the artist Tanya Morand. This special event offers the public a privileged access to the artist’s work through a comprehensive presentation of her recent work in the exhibition. The presentation will take place in French, and the artist will answer questions in both French and English.
